AfriNIC is having its 7th public policy meeting (AfriNIC-7) in Durban, South Africa from 23rd to 28th September 2007. This meeting intends to provide a public forum to the African Internet community to discuss different issues related to Internet Number resource management issues and policies in Africa. The meeting will start with 3 days training on IPv6 Networking from 23rd to 25th September. During the meeting, participants will also receive updates from the other four Regional Internet Registries on activities in their regions.

The event will convene most of the key Internet players on the continent and abroad. We will also host the meetings of other organisations such as the African Country Code Top Level Domain Managers (AfTLD) meeting. The previous AfriNIC meeting, AfriNIC-6 which was held in May 2007 in Nigeria was a great success with nearly 200 participants from around the world. Attendees were from Government, Research and Education Networks and African Network Operators.
