Introduction:
The PDP-MG is a group of three people nominated by the community that moderates and coordinates the AfriNIC policy development process.
Roles and Responsibilities
According to the current policy development process (AFPUB-2008-GEN-001), the PDP-MG is responsible for the following:.
- Assisting members of the community in drafting the text of their policy proposals.
- Determining whether there is consensus during open policy discussions.
- Sending a report of the outcomes of policy discussions at public policy meetings to the Board.
Composition of the PDP-MG
The three (3) MG members are elected for a three (3) year term, the first for one (1) year, the second for two (2) years and the third for three (3) years. AfriNIC will also nominate one of its staff members to the MG. During elections, the terms of each nominee depend upon the number of votes obtained.
