The AfriNIC WHOIS Database is where all information related to registered resources is stored. This includes information about Autonomous System Numbers, IP addresses, Organisations that are associated with these resources and related Points of Contact (POC). [more]

The information in the AfriNIC Database is available to the public for agreed Internet operational purposes, but is under copyright .

A web interface for whois now available. You can also query the AfriNIC whois database using a standard whois client pointing to whois.afrinic.net (standard TCP port 43).

You can, if you don't already have one, download our whois client which gives you more functionalities.

Updating Objects in the AfriNIC Whois Database.

The AfriNIC Whois Database can be updated by sending e-mails to:
<auto-dbm@afrinic.net>
